Josh Nashed launched Nexus Athlete Advising in 2023 after spending a decade in D1 & professional baseball as both a player and coach. After finishing his pro career with the Cleveland Indians, Josh spent 4 seasons coaching at Saint Mary’s College in the West Coast Conference where he was promoted on 3 different occasions. In 2021, Josh became the youngest full time assistant coach in the country at the Division 1 level, and a year later was named the recruiting coordinator at SMC.
In his first two full seasons leading the Gaels pitching staff, Saint Mary’s produced 6 MLB Draft picks on the mound including 3 top-10 round selections; good for 1st in the West Coast Conference and the best two-year span in Saint Mary’s program history. Gaels pitchers racked up a whopping $2.42 million in draft signing bonuses during that span.
Josh played collegiately at San Jose State University and received his masters degree in Sports Management from Minot State University.
Jimmy Meuel joins Nashed Athlete Advising after a 17-year college coaching career. Jimmy’s robust coaching resume features stops at the D1, D2, D3 & NAIA levels at 9 different colleges.
His stops include: San Jose State, University of San Francisco, UC Davis, UC San Diego, SF State, Art U, Lewis & Clark, Willamette, & Menlo College.
Jimmy also specializes in college planning on the academic side as an academic counselor.
Yasmin Mossadeghi joins Nexus after an impactful 22-year collegiate coaching career including stops at Harvard, San Jose State, UC Davis, Fullerton, Mt. SAC, & 14 years as the head coach at Southwestern College.
A former All-American and 3-time 1st Team All Big West honoree, Yasmin is the career homerun record holder at Cal State Fullerton (47) and is top 10 in 10 different CSUF offensive categories. Following her decorated collegiate career in which she led CSUF to 3 Big West Conference Championships, Yasmin played on multiple club teams in Germany, Russia, & the U.S..
Yasmin has dedicated herself to transforming the lives of her student-athletes. While completing her master’s degree in Kinesiology with a Sports Psychology focus at CSUF, Yasmin studied under the late Ken Ravizza, one of the top sport psychology experts in the world. She has since gone on to co-author and publish, “Between the Lines: Mental Skills of Hitting for Softball Players”.
